I am a senior computer biologist with a post-graduate degree in bioinformatics and I have 8 years experience in bioinformatics. I am currently a research engineer in Lyon.
I had carried out my work placements in two pharmaceutical companies during my degree before I decided to join the European Bioinformatics Institute in Cambridge in 2002. What an experience!! I really loved my job and people there and it took me 6 years to finally come back. Was it a good decision? I didn’t have a clue what would happen next in France but it was time to move on.
So, I started a degree in advanced programming and moved to Nantes to start working as an IT consultant. After a year working with clients on developing IT solutions, I decided to quit this job. Then I moved to Lyon to work on a High-throughput sequencing analysis project in breast cancer.
In addition to my job, I spend my spare time traveling, doing sport (swimming and cycling and roller skates) and playing music with friends.
